Task

Munich ranks among the top 3 of the most popular travel destinations in Germany. A client from the insurance industry that has been with us for many years wants to make use of this fact to motivate its employees. One day and two evenings are set aside to inspire a total of 800 guests with the Bavarian way of life. Ensuring an exciting program and the smooth implementation of the event is where we come in.

Concept

For the first night, we move Oktoberfest to May at the Theresienwiese: With traditional Goaßlschnalzen [whip cracking], the Bavarian Gaudi-Jahrmarkt [fair] and the Bavarian cult band “Blechblos’n”, guests are perfectly attuned to the Munich atmosphere. The next day, individual experiences are provided through 7 attractive day programs, such as a VIP tour of the Allianz Arena, including a ride in the team bus of FC Bayern, a custom gourmet basket tour of downtown Munich, or an exclusive chocolate seminar in chocolate factory. The subsequent gala evening also impresses with a tailor-made touch of class: Between the performances of the live band “Da Capo” and of Django Asül, football fans can enjoy the live broadcast of the Champions League final. Those who are not so keen of football can look forward to a magical alternative program.

Result

The guests can experience the many facets of Munich. The very next evening, the participants had the great Oktoberfest atmosphere to look forward to. They enjoyed the Gaudi fair in the interactive booths and demanded several encores from Blechblos’n. The icing on the cake of the gala evening at the Westin Grand Hotel was without a doubt the appearance of the Bavarian comedian Django Asül with his carnival speech written exclusively for our customers. At the end of this 2-day incentive event, more than 800 guests that have been well catered for in 3 groups each day and night by VBA Events are already looking forward to their next visit to Munich.
