RACING FEVER AND MORROCCAN FLAIR IN THE MARRIOTT HOTEL
Eurosport commissioned VBA Events with promoting the new race track in Morocco at the FIA WTCC Touring Car Championship. VBA Events transformed the hotel-restaurant completely into a Moroccan oasis with a Shisha Lounge, belly dancing and Moroccan delicacies. From the entrance, it was accessible via a replica race track.

Challenges:
- Further development of the event concept, based on the success of 2009
- Taking up the motto of “Marrakesh” again and reinterpreting it
- Celebrity guest in the form of BMW Motorsport boss, Dr. Mario Theissen
- Utilisation of the sponsoring between the Marriott Hotel and the FIA WTCC
VBA realisation:
- Through a cleverly-devised lounge setup and a streamlined process, an optimum platform was created for networking between the top-class guests.
- The hotel was transformed into a Moroccan oasis for the evening, with an Arabian buffet, Shisha Lounge and Arabian music.
- In order to emphasise the racing character of the WTCC, VBA Events laid a racetrack right through the Marriott Hotel.
Result:
- The Marriott Hotel Munich presented itself in an unusual ambience and thereby ensured completely satisfied guests.
- In comparison to the previous year, the number of participants was increased again, in spite of the ash cloud and the parallel BAUMA trade fair.
- The response in the press was excellent
