In the middle of a huge sea of pebbles, the guests of the Münchner Kiesunion were surprised with the elegant dinner, which was perfectly organised by VBA, under the motto, "MKU – Musikalisch – Kulinarisch – Unterhaltsam”. In the impressive atmosphere of the gravel works, the guests experienced culinary and musical highlights, surrounded by the huge, illuminated gravel drums.

This extremely entertaining evening in a unique setting is guaranteed to remain in the memories of the Münchner Kiesunion clients for a long time.

Specific challenges:

• Image enhancement for Münchner Kiesunion
• Decoration of the gravel works, in which thousands of pebbles are processed on a daily basis
• Creation of a sophisticated atmosphere, without losing the flair of the gravel works
• Naked, dirty location with no logistics on site
• Violent storm with heavy rain and large hailstones, just as the guests were arriving

VBA realisation:

• Easing the burden of Kiesunion by negotiating with and coordinating all of the service providers (catering, technology, decoration, mobile toilets, marquee builders, etc.)
• Development of the event motto and logo “MKU – Musical – Culinary – Entertaining”
• Development of a suitable space and decoration concept
• Short-term safeguarding of the event after a storm warning through additional safety measures and increased personnel on site

Result:

• Additional marquee solution with three pagodas as a reception area for the guests and the opportunity to withdraw to a cosy bar later
• Suspensions on large wall services with silver calico decorative fabric and fine carpet laid out in the guest and catering area
• Unobstructed view of the rest of the ten-metre-high gravel works with the imposing gravel drums, which were made "to glow" with coloured floor spotlights
• A delicious four-course menu was served at round tables with a sophisticated table decoration made of pebbles, rose petals and candelabras
• The Soulchicken band provided entertainment with soulful tones, while comedian, Oliver Tissot, enthused the guests with is wordplay and anecdotes from the everyday life of MKU
